NO MISUNDERSTANDING

2010-2012

Photographic series

The title and content refers to my stage piece, On Misunderstanding, where I used mirrors as prolongations of the body and its potential; the laws of mirroring produced a sort of visual misunderstanding, the audience saw different and ever-changing images in the mirrors depending on where they were sitting. The points of view were as many as the audience. No Misunderstanding refers to how the perspective has now been narrowed to one – the carefully selected angle of the lens – and therefore offers no misunderstanding.
